Objais Family now welcomes dogs and cats. Take a photo of your pet and get a non-binding estimate in under 30 seconds. No questionnaire. No account to create.
Most pets are still uninsured
About one household in two shares its home with a pet. Yet most of those pets are not insured. In the UK, one of Europe's most mature markets, only around 25% of dogs and 12% of cats were insured in 2023 (industry reports). In France, roughly 5% of pets have insurance: 7% of dogs and 4% of cats (HelloSafe, 2025). In Portugal, the PetPulse Insights study (UPPartner, January 2026) puts it at around 15% of pets with health cover.
The obstacle is not willingness, it is friction: long forms, cover that is hard to compare, a price you only see at the end. So people put it off, until the first vet bill.
How it works
- Take a photo of your pet. Front on, in profile, in the basket or on the sofa.
- Get your estimate. Our AI recognises the species and the likely breed, then shows a non-binding estimate in under 30 seconds.
- Go further if you like. Age, history, level of cover: a licensed broker takes over and presents suitable plans.
No questionnaire up front. No account needed to see a price.

Why a photo is enough to start
Species and breed weigh heavily on the price of pet insurance: some breeds are more exposed to specific conditions. A photo gives you that information instantly, where a form would ask for ten fields.
The estimate is indicative. Its job is to tell you whether the cost makes sense for you, before you spend time on the details.
Before you commit: what to check
The estimate opens the conversation. When you choose a plan, five points make the difference:
- Level of cover: accidents only, accidents and illness, or a plan that includes prevention (vaccines, parasite treatments).
- Annual reimbursement limit and the percentage reimbursed.
- Excess (deductible), per claim or per year.
- Waiting periods, often longer for surgery than for accidents.
- Your pet's age: premiums change with age, and some plans close enrolment to older animals. Insuring early is usually simpler.
Your broker supports you on each of these points.
